Below in English:Na ruim 45 jaar actief te zijn geweest als stoffen- en kledingagent, distributeur en uiteindelijk merkeigenaar verheugt het mij dat mijn bedrijf MJL Investments B.V. is overgenomen door EK Fashion. Zij zijn in mijn ogen de ideale koper om onze private label activiteiten en de merken “Slater” en “Garage” zowel in Nederland als in Europa uit te breiden. Ik blijf tot eind maart verbonden aan de organisatie en blijf daarna als adviseur beschikbaar. Ik blijf als partner betrokken bij onze fabriek ICCL – International Clothing Composite Ltd in Bangladesh en 2XM Hellas Ltd in Griekenland en European Fashion & Sports Investments Ltd in Turkije.Dank aan alle relaties die mijn leven afgelopen 45 textieljaren betekenis hebben gegeven waar ik me altijd voor de volle 100% heb ingezet.===============================================After being active in The Netherlands for more than 45 years as fabric and clothing agent, distributor and ultimately brand owner, I am pleased that my company MJL Investments B.V. has been purchases by EK Fashion. They are the ideal buyer to expand our private label activities and the brands “Slater” and “Garage” in the Netherlands and in Europe. I will remain associated with the organization until the end of March and will then remain available as an advisor.This sale is separate from my partnership in our factory ICCL – International Clothing Composite Ltd in Bangladesh and I also remain involved as a partner in 2XM Hellas Ltd in Greece and European Fashion & Sports Investments Ltd in Turkey.My gratitude goes to all relationships who gave my life meaning over the past 45 years in textiles, to which I have always given my full 100% commitment.

Today van Tilburg Nistelrode and Slater celebrated their 10 years cooperation by opening of the newly designed "Slater wall of Tees" by Jos Hogenkamp, manager of the men's division, attended by owners Matthijs van Tilburg and Joël Menco. A step forward in professional built-in Slater presentation.

September 19th the name monument “Lezecher” translated “in memory of”, was revealed in Amsterdam, to remember and to honour 102.000 Dutch Jewish and/or Roma and Sinti human beings, who were murdered during the 2nd world war. Our family adopted stones, honouring and remembering my grandfather’s Harri Menco and Joël Brommet, and three grandparents of my mother. I have inherited the name of grandpa Joël, which I bear with pride, and inherited the looks, as you can see, of grandpa Harri. My gratitude and compliments to the Auschwitz committee and it’s chairman Mr. Jacques Grishaver for achieving this beautiful historical valuable monument. Also to Mr. Daniël Libeskind for designing such a impressive vigorous beautiful monument carrying such a historical load. I am seriously worried about the lack of respect and behaviour in our world society and hope that this monument will contribute to a better understanding between all groups and religions. Let there be respect between each other so that our children, grandchildren and future generations will never ever have to face what many families and my family unfortunately has gone through.May there memory be a blessing to all of you.
