Merriman, 76, died at the Mary Lyon Nursing Center in Hampden. Born in Ashland, OR, on December 24, 1925, he was the son of the late Lester Helen (Dittemore) Merriman. He was raised in Ashland and came to Western Massachusetts at the age of 18 upon entering the United States Air Force at Westover Air Force Base. He had then lived in Springfield, Somers, West Springfield, and then Hampden for many years, until recently resetfling to Springfield. As an electrician by trade, he was employed for many years with Collins Electric Company in Springfield, and refired in the year 2000 as the company's Senior Vice President.

He held membership with the IBEW, was a former Chairman of the Board at the Pioneer Valley Christian "School, and was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Springfield where he was an active participant in the choir. Mr. Merriman was predeceased by a 'son, Daniel J. Merriman in 1995. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Flora S.

(Stewart) Merriman; four sons, Douglas B. of Ringwood, David P. of Springfield, Donald L. of Chicopee, Dwight E. of Holland, two daughters, Deborah J.

Merriman of Springfield Donna L. Merriman of 13 grandchildren and one great -grandson. She graduated from South Hadley High School in 1960, and from Marietta College, Marietta, OH, in 1964. She completed her graduate work at American International College. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church of South Hadley. She was a Teacher in the South Hadley schools. She was a member of the Church Choir; Tuesday Club; SOHAYWO; and Delta Kappa Gamma.

She was a South Hadley Town Meeting Member. She is survived by two sisters, Nancy Solander Miller of Seabrook, TX, and Sarah Solander Camp of Portland, OR; and five nieces and nephews, Heather and Betsy Camp, Julie Engleman, Sara Winningham, and Eric Miller. MATT AGAWAM Martha Etta Brown, 85, formerly of 100 Division Street, Springfield, departed this life on Friday, March 29, 2002, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home. He was a member of the Southwick Grange AARP Chapter 526 of Westfield, and a former past president. He was a past president and member of the Southwick Senior Center, and a member of Christ Church United Methodist, where he also sang in the church choir. He leaves three sons; D. Ward and Charles M. Bruce Weston of Vernon, a daughter, Eleanor Fox of Rome, Texas; brothers, Paul Weston of Shelton, and Frederic Weston of Underhill, VT. 2002 SPRINGFIELD Barbara (Waskitz) Bourque, 73, of Glen Albyn Springfield, formerly of Susan Southampton, died Friday (Mar. 29) in Wilbraham. She was the widow of Edwin Francis Bourque, who died in 1989. Born in Manchester, on Feb. 20, 1929, daughter of the late Stephen and Stephanie (Lemanski) Waskitz.

Barbara had lived in Springfield for many years moving to Southampton in 1979. She returned to the Springfield community in 1997. While a resident of the Southampton community, she had been an active communicant of Notre Dame Church in Easthampton. Barbara was also a member of the Southampton Mother's Club, the Easthampton Garden Club, and was a long time volunteer at the local polls during election time. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Christopher S.

Bourque and his wife, Kim of Springfield; and three grandchildren; Kyle Bourque, Krista Busha, and Justin Chirgwin. She also leaves many dear friends and loving caregivers. Morrow 1933 2002 SPRINGFIELD (Riley) Morrow, Marilyn T. 68, of 29 Maebeth died at home on Thursday, March 28th. She was born in Chicopee and lived in Ocala, for 24 years and in the Springfield area most of her life. She was a waitress for many years in Springfield and the Ocala area. She was a former Communicant of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church in Springfield.

She was the wife of the late George Morrow, who died in 1973. She leaves three sons, Philip Morrow and Edward Morrow of Ocala, and Michael Morrow of Vernon, CT. She also leaves two daughters, Sandra Clement of West Springfield and Jo-Ann Demers of Springfield; she also leaves a brother, Timothy Riley of Newport News, and three sisters, Gloria Leander of Enfield, Rita Blanchette of Springfield and Debra Riley of Southwick; seven grandchildren and one greatgrandson. Masse 1952 2002 NEW PORT RICHIE, FL Barbara Ann (Marquis) Masse, 50, of 4328 Sawgrass in New Port Richie, Florida, died on Thursday, March 21 at her home. She was employed in the court system in New Port Richie. Before moving to Florida in 1992, she was employed for 23 years at the former National Blank Book Company in Holyoke. She was born in Holyoke on February 1, 1952, the daughter of Roland Marquis of Willimansett, and the late Lucienne (Dion) Marquis. She was a 1970, graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School.

She leaves one son, Christopher Masse, and one daughter, Mariah Masse, both of New Port Richie. One brother, Raymond R. Marquis of Chicopee. She also leaves one niece and one nephew. She also leaves many aunts and uncles.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:45 a.m. from the Arthur J. Brunelle Funeral Home at 811 Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian at 11:30 a.m. in the Church of the Nativity, both in Willimansett. Burial will be in the Notre Dame Cemetery.
