The driver, who told police she was not drinking, said she put the car keys on the bar at Carl and Doug's at 2405 63rd St. When they were ready to leave, they couldn't find the keys and the car, a 1990 blue Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, was no longer in the parking lot. The wallet of one of them, containing cash and credit cards, was inside the vehicle.

2 In-school altercation nets battery charge KENOSHA A 14-year-old at Indian Trail Academy had her head pushed into her locker by another student at the school at 6800 60th St. on Thursday morning. The girl had a red mark and swelling on her forehead, but declined medical attention. The 16-year-old who pushed her into the locker was cited for battery. 3 Drug and other charges ahead for Kenosha man KENOSHA A Kenosha man who fled from police who tried to stop him for speeding early Thursday morning found himself facing more than a charge of fleeing an officer.

Vyngie T. Washington, 30, 4037 28th No. 3, reportedly swerved into an alley in the 5400 block of 16th Avenue trying to 1 get away from a pursuing squad car, then jumped out of the car and ran, flinging items out of his pockets as he fled. The items turned out to be marijuana and small tin foil packages of cocaine. Police also found a half-smoked marijuana cigarette in the ashtray of his car.A records check revealed that Washington had prior felony drug convictions.

Milwaukee to revamp Amtrak station Briefs MILWAUKEE (AP) A $3.9 million remodeled Amtrak station will feature restaurants, shops and services in a hip update of the city's dreary 37- year-old station, the state Department of Transportation said. The department hopes the station will become a modern transportation hub, and is negotiating a contract with Milwaukee Intermodal Partners, a group of local and national architects. The station would feature improved passenger access areas and leasing space, said project manager Michael Maierle. It is expected to be finished by late 2003.

Guard members head to Hungary MADISON (AP) About 30 members of Wisconsin's Army National Guard will be deployed to Hungary this weekend as part of an international mission to preserve peace in Bosnia, the National Guard said Friday. The members will participate in 90-day rotations in Hungary as part of a 32-nation team. Other members of the Milwaukee-based unit are taking part in two week training deployments with a Wisconsin National Guard engineer task force in Nicaragua. Officials said the latest deployment is part of a presidential call-up and is not related to the mobilization of National Guard and reserve units that have been supporting military operations since Sept. 11.

Seymour man killed in rollover SEYMOUR (AP). A 35-yearold man was killed when his vehicle rolled over several times in Outagamie County, the sheriff's department said. The one vehicle crash happened shortly after 2 a.m. Friday when the driver missed a curve and left the roadway, the sheriff's department said, The driver, Harold Biely, was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle and killed. Passenger Jamie VanBoxtel, 25, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to St.

Vincent's Hospital for treatment. Both were from rural Seymour, the sheriff's department said. Verdict Treon D. Vaughn, 19, 3913 28th was found guilty by a jury of third sexual assault. Sentencing was set for April 12.

Crump, 78, of Pleasant Prairie, died Friday (Feb. 15, 2002) at his home. The son of the late Leo and Dena (Lewis) Crump, he was born on Jan. 19, 1924, in Waukegan, Ill. He was educated in Waukegan schools, graduating from Waukegan High School.

Two years ago, he moved to the Kenosha area from Port Edwards. On June 5, 1945, he married Mary Nell Stevens in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death. From Oct. 29, 1943 to April 23, 1945, he served with the U.S.

Coast Marines. Before retiring, he was a machinist for 36 years at O.M.C. Johnson Motors in Waukegan. He was a member of Lions Club in Waukegan and the Moose Lodge in Zion. Survivors include a son, Roger M.

Crump of Pleasant Prairie; five grandchildren; a brother, Leo Dean (Gertrude) Crump of Kenosha, and a sister, Christine (Jim) Wingo of Port Edwards. A son, Patrick D. Crump, and two brothers, William and Claude, also preceded him in death. Kenosha Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements. Deaths Bienvenida Ponce Bienvenida Ponce, 88, of North Chicago, died Thursday (Feb.

14, 2002) at Provena St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan, Ill. She was born Dec. 2, 1913, in Puerto Rico and had been an area resident since 1949. She was a member of First Baptist Church (Iglesia Bavtista Latina) in Waukegan and had been employed at Victory Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her children, Juan (Diane) Ponce of Hurley, Josefa (Victor) Alverez and Carmen Dominguez of Chicago, Gladys Ponce of North Chicago, Lydia (Pablo) Carrasquello of Puerto Rico and Jose (Carla) Ponce of Kenosha; 13 grandchildren, 13. great-grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and one brother, Augustine (Estabania) Suarez of Puerto Rico. She was preceded in death by her husband Juan, two sisters, Fabiana Cuevas and Carmen Suarez and her greatgrandson Eli Ortiz. McCall, 24, 7835 22nd was placed on five years of probation by Judge Bruce Schroeder for substantial battery and was fined $300 and sentenced to nine months in the County Jail for theft. Lakesha D.

Johnson, 23, 4900 18th was sentenced by Judge Wilbur Warren to 18 months in the County Jail for theft and bail jumping. The judge imposed six years of probation for two counts of delivery of cocaine and suspended the defendant's driver's license for six months. Ryan M. Preuss, 17, 26521 103rd Trevor, was placed on 36 months of probation by Judge David Bastianelli for three counts of fourth-degree sexual assault. The judge stayed 15 months in the County Jail.

Preuss was arrested for sexual contact about a dozen times with a 15-year-old who became pregnant. Kevin E. Roach, 37, address unknown, was sentenced by Judge Michael Fisher to 15 months in prison for escape. Sarah N. Nighsonger, 21, 2317 65th was sentenced by Judge David Bastianelli to two years in prison plus eight years of extended supervision for burglary.

Nighsonger was one of three people arrested for a home break-in resulting in the theft of a gun, a DVD player, rings and $2 cash. Mark E. Maki, 21, Beach Park, was fined $500 by Judge Michael Fisher for obstructing. Burnette E. Harris, 38, 6203 12th was sentenced by All American Savings SALE! He was born in Franzen on May 23, 1916, and has lived in Racine since 1965. In 1950, he married the former Beulah Brown in Chicago. She died on July 30, 2001, Before retiring in 1977, he was employed by Ladish TriClover in Kenosha for about 15 years. During the 1960s, he worked for Halvorson Homes. A former cab driver, he was employed by John Vash in Racine for many years.

He was a member of Si. Edward's Catholic Church and the International Association of Machinists Local 3402. Survivors include two sons; three daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great -great grandchildren. Wilson Funeral Home of Racine is in charge of arrangements. Judge S.

Michael Wilk to three years in prison plus two years of extended supervision for child abuse. Harris was accused of hitting a 15-year-old in the head with an aluminum baseball bat and a phone. Vincent E. Doyle, 44, 117 115th Pleasant Prairie, was sentenced by Judge David Bastianelli to 360 days in the County Jail, fined $2,000 and had his driver's license revoked for 36 months for drunken drivingthird offense. The judge imposed a total of 12 months of probation for resisting and two counts of obstructing.

Doyle was arrested for leading officers on a high-speed chase before stopping his car and running into woods. Michael A. Trice, 35, Beach Park, was placed on three years of probation by Judge S. Michael Wilk for two counts of forgery. The judge stayed 30 months in prison.
