The talk about Lance Stroll of Aston Martin has been going on for many seasons, whether his inclusion in Formula 1 is a good and game-changing character or if he is the cause of most of the accidents, and it hit its peak when a collision was seen with Daniel Ricciardo at the Chinese Grand Prix in the recently concluded race. Daniel Ricciardo went crazy and slammed him during the post-race interviews, saying that it was not healthy for him to be driving like that on any of the tracks.

The most interesting thing to be seen after the race was that Stroll called Ricciardo an “idiot.” Many of the fans of Formula 1 have gone crazy and are going mad on social media that Stroll’s inclusion in Formula 1 needs to be stopped to avoid further damage to the game. Many racing legends have also been spotted, and the franchise, Aston Martin, also speaks on Lance Stroll’s performance at the circuits of 2024. Lance Stroll of Aston Martin started the Chinese Grand Prix FP1 with a banger, as he finished first, passing the Red Bull and Mercedes legends. Stroll had completely taken control of the circuit and was in complete form. The common talk among the F1 community was that Stroll made an ‘obvious’ mistake.

On the race day, Lance Stroll collided with Daniel Ricciardo as Stroll was seen braking suddenly, and Ricciardo crashed from behind, leading the latter out of the race while Stroll could still complete and finish 15th in the table. Stroll has been struggling and has high expectations from Aston Martin, as his teammate Alonso is doing well and grabbing points for the team. But Stroll was not able to keep up the momentum, and after the crash, fans kept the heat high.

Lance Stroll finally finished 15th, but it left Daniel Ricciardo to be disqualified from the race. Stroll had done well in the Australian Grand Prix as he finished 6th, and the Japanese circuit was not that great for him as he finished 12th.

But he made a good comeback in China, where he finished first and got the better of Red Bull and Mercedes but lost momentum, so on from there in the sprint qualification, sprint race, and eventually the final race, where the incident took place of the crash.

The Chinese Grand Prix was a belter of a contest as it marked the season’s first sprint race, and all the drivers and teams looked ahead to getting those extra points for the championship tally. Things were on track and were great till the race took place, where Lance Stroll was seen colliding with Daniel Ricciardo, which left Ricciardo out of the race, and he got a penalty.

Moreover, he did not secure points for his team as he did not finish the race and was ruled out because of the severe damage the car took.

It’s now four races where Ricciardo hasn’t scored any points in the past 4 races and expected this race to go in his favor as he could grab at least a few points for his team. But, things did not go in his favor again. Ricciardo funnily said that it was his fault when asked what the mistake was.

He said mockingly, “It was my fault.” In a post race interview, Ricciardo was seen to slam Lance Stroll as he went wild. Ricciardo left a statement, “Apparently I am the idiot here and it was my fault.I’m really trying my best not to say what I want to say, but f*** the guy”.

Stroll’s teammate, Fernando Alonso was seen to be positive and said to a reporter, ”We gave everything. Unfortunately we did not finish the race, but it was very nice.” The crash had literally ruined Ricciardo’s race, where he was hoping to end the Chinese Grand Prix on a better note in the 2024 season.

Lance Stroll was given 2 penalty points because of the collision, and Daniel Ricciardo got 2 penalty points as well, as he was seen overtaking Nico Hulkenberg under the safety car, which led to the penalty points being accumulated.
