  • 29 ounces can sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 15 ounce box yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup melted butter ( 1 1/2 sticks)
  • vanilla ice cream for serving, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°.
  2. Pour sliced peaches with syrup into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  3. Spread peaches out evenly.
  4. Sprinkle cake mix over the peaches in an even layer.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes until filling is bubbly and cake is lightly browned.
  7. Cool on a wire rack for about 10 minutes before serving.
  8. Top with vanilla ice cream if desired.
